Nowadays, car modification is popular among young people, but intake kit modification is only legal with permission. Any car modification must be applied to the traffic management department. According to the "Road Traffic Safety Law," unauthorized modification of the vehicle chassis, engine, suspension, transmission system, steering system, tires, wheels, lights, paint, or exterior structure without the approval of the traffic management department is illegal.
How should intake kit modification be done legally? Here is an introduction.
1. Bumper Modification: Some car owners may pay more attention to the safety of their cars after getting a new vehicle. They feel that the original front and rear bumpers are not sturdy enough, so they modify the bumpers, which is fine and can pass the annual inspection.
2. Audio System: Audio modification is probably one of the most common car modifications. Modifying the audio system does not impair the overall functionality of the car and is a good choice for music enthusiasts; audio modifications are also allowed.
3. Modified Sound-Change Exhaust Valve: Modifying the exhaust valve is a choice for many people at modification shops.
4. Bluetooth Microphone: In a sense, this is actually to enhance the driving safety of the owner. Using Bluetooth to answer calls while driving is a safe modification.
5. Rear End: From a dynamic design perspective, the rear end is used to reduce lift at the back of the car because the rear is larger than the front. When the speed is too high, the lift at the rear is greater than at the front, which can create a floating feeling. However, adding a rear wing can reduce lift, which is also allowed.
6. Body Color Modification: First, this refers to changing the color of the exterior. According to national regulations, after changing the body color, one must go to the vehicle management office to register the color change within 10 days, ensuring that the color of the vehicle in photos matches the actual color.
7. Body Stickers: Body stickers are a common way to modify the appearance of a vehicle.
8. Modified Headlights: Adding lenses, angel eyes, or modifying xenon lights will never pass the annual inspection. However, the brightness of the bulbs can be appropriately changed based on the original vehicle, such as replacing a 4000K bulb with a 6000K bulb, which will not affect the vehicle's annual inspection.
Of course, this is theoretical, as each vehicle has different torque output characteristics when designed. Unless there are targeted design modifications, directly changing the shape and layout of the intake pipe based on theory may not improve power performance and could even have the opposite effect. To address this, some intake modification brands will launch targeted intake kits for specific vehicle models.
