The main function of the high flow air filter is to filter impurities, which is an important component to ensure the effective operation of the engine and plays a significant role. There are many things to pay attention to during use and replacement. If there is an excavator, these precautions should be known in advance to ensure the excavator works more healthily. Now, let's understand the usage notes for the high flow air filter.

High Flow Air Filter
1. Gently remove the dirty high flow air filter from the housing, do not hit the filter housing.
If the filter element is large enough to knock off the dust, the filter element will be damaged and unable to protect the engine. Additionally, even if you hit it, the dust embedded deep cannot be removed. Please remove all filter elements that need to be gently taken out of the housing.
The high flow air filter has initial resistance because the filter element fits tightly in the outlet pipe to create a seal. When disassembling, gently move the end of the filter element back and forth to separate the seal, then pull it straight out while rotating the filter element. When replacing the filter element, be sure to cover the outlet of the air filter to prevent unfiltered contaminants from entering the engine.
2. The lifespan of the high flow air filter cannot be assessed by observation, but should be based on resistance.
A filter element that looks very dirty may still have a long lifespan, but at the same time, carbon-based contaminants may be invisible to the naked eye. An effective method is to replace the filter element according to the indication of the differential pressure indicator. If the differential pressure indicator is damaged, a new indicator needs to be replaced.
3. Open the air filter.
After opening the air filter, dust will directly enter the engine. During the replacement process of the high flow air filter, it is necessary to protect the engine's intake. Otherwise, contaminants will enter and cause engine damage.
4. Do not use damaged seals/gaskets.
If there are wind deflectors/gaskets on the air filter, consider whether they need to be replaced with new ones. Carefully check that there are no old seals/gaskets in the housing and ensure that the seals/gaskets are not damaged to guarantee normal function.
5. Do not use damaged filters or filter paper connected filter elements.
Do not install dented or bulging filter elements. Because they cannot effectively prevent the entry of contaminants. If dented, it may lead to uneven sealing, or the filter paper may be damaged. Filter elements connected with filter paper will consume more engine power and fuel.
6. Replace lost or damaged parts.
Ensure that the housing causing the air filter to leak is not damaged. Do not attempt to replace lost or damaged exhaust valves and air filter fasteners to repair damaged filter elements.
7. Cannot be replaced according to the model of the high flow air filter.
High flow air filters may look similar, but even small size differences can affect sealing or disable filtering functions. Choosing filter elements based solely on size, with different models of filter paper, may affect lifespan and filtering efficiency.
